Justin Ales
Research Interests:
My research has been focused on recovering the activity in early visual cortical areas using EEG/MEG. The problem is that the areas are physically close together, making it tough to unambiguously localize the sources of activity. We've progressed with developing ways to improve signal to noise in order to record EEG responses to many small stimuli. We've been attempting to use these stimuli to create a retinotopic map comparable to fMRI, but with better temporal resolution.
